According to Deep trekker, the DTG3 ROV is a mini observation-class underwater ROV build to deploy rapidly and quickly conduct visual inspections in underwater environments. The DT3G is the most portable ROV which provides an exceptional 4K camera in a durable yet lightweight vehicle (Deep Trekker, n.d). Deep Trekker states in its webpage that the DT3G could be a deployed within 30 seconds and has a battery life up to eight hours. It is also equipped with three thrusters and a patented pitch system, that allows for flexible operations and descent capabilities (Deep Trekker, n.d). The webpage also highlights about DTG3’s 270-degree rotating camera that offers a massive range of view for ship hulls, sea floors, and everything in between, without the need to maneuver the thrusters. According to Deep trekker, DTG3 ROV has a depth rating of 200m and comes along with several add-ons such as the grabber, laser scaler, USBL positioning, thickness gauge, environmental sensors and extended tether. Despite its key features being listed here, the Revolution ROV  has more features and a higher efficiency rate in comparison to its counterparts the DTG3 and PIVOT ROVs.

Formal Letter (Descriptive Reflection)

 Dear Professor Brad,

I am writing this letter with the intent of introducing myself to you and my fellow course mates. I am Gunasekaran Akash who have completed grade 12 CBSE (CENTRAL BOARD SECONDARY EDUCATION) from Global Indian International School (GIIS). Robotics is a field that I have been interested ever since I was in primary school, which led me to take part in several robotic competitions. During my time in middle school and high school, I didn’t really get any opportunities to grow and develop my latent skills and abilities in robotics. Being a very curious and highly inquisitive person, I have always been fascinated about humanoid robots and its functions which has made me wrap my head around on how it works and how it helps to make an impact in our lives. Fortunately, getting accepted into SIT’s Robotics System Degree Programme was able to rekindle my burning passion for robotics in which, it will empower me to create or invent something remarkable in this field.

Furthermore, I would also like to address my experiences in context of communications. I have participated in several MUNs (MODEL UNITED NATIONS) and debates. Based on these experiences I was able identify that my greatest strength is that I can convey myself easily to others. My weakness is the lack of confidence that I have in myself which causes me to forget my lines during a debate or a presentation.

By taking up this module, I see myself being speaking with more tenacity and improving my rhetorical speaking skills. In addition to this, I also look forward to polishing up my writing and presentation skills with your guidance. I hope after reading this letter, you and my fellow course mates can understand me better as an individual.

Reaction To Short Essay

 

After Reading this article, it brings to my attention the impact of communication and how critical thinking aids in providing effective communications. According to the white paper by IDC in 2008, it tells me that organizations in the US and UK have incurred great losses due to poor communication and employee mismanagement. Thus, organizations should have structured and well-defined communication channels from the lower levels of the organization till the top levels. Subsequently, Employers should be getting proper communication skills training so that it helps them to understand the employees even better and also lowers the chances of miscommunication.

As much as how communication is important, critical thinking is what emphasizes the process of conveying our thoughts and feelings through communication. The main objective of critical thinking is to avoid brain fog and give clarity in your thoughts which gives rise to effective communication. Great leaders and effective managers have great critical thinking skills which enables them to communicate with clear thought and reason. It also helps them to think rationally and eliminate ambiguity in their communication.
